Princess Session Orchestra Original TV Anime Announced with 2025 Premiere

 

Akifumi Kaneko, original creator of Symphogear, provides the original plan for the series

You can never have too many magical girls, and next year there's a new team coming our way! Today the new original series Princess Session Orchestra was announced with UNISON — a new branch of Aria Entertainment — teaming up with King Records and Takara Tomy for a 2025 release. The anime is touted as a project combining music, anime and toys that "can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike."

The series introduces us to the wonderland of Alicepia, a world that has existed since ancient times. When the Alicepians encounter a new threat known as the Jamaock, a trio of "princesses" step up to save the day with the power of music.

The main cast includes:

• Minamo/Princess Ripple: Azusa Aoi (Nana Hiratsuka in Rinkai!)

• Kagari/Princess Zeal: Yuri Fujimoto (Jungle Pocket in Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era)

• Nagase/Princess Meteor: Azusa Tachibana

The series will be produced by UNISON and King Records. Shin Onuma (Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA) directs the series, based on a concept by Symphogear co-creator Kaneko Akifumi. Mari Shimazaki (Bayonetta) provides the original character art, with Yukiko Akiyama (Black Cat) serving as character designer. Series composition will be handled by Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos creator Manta Aisora. Elements Garden will compose the show's music, and the series will be animated at SILVER LINK. Takara Tomy will handle the design of elements of the show, which will also be produced as merchandise.

A website, X (formerly Twitter) account, and Instagram account were also launched for the project.
